Implant Planning Service by Leo Malin DDS Virtual Treatment Planning using Software that is driven by a CT image of the patient's teeth and bone resulting in a guided surgical stent is fast becoming the "Standard of Care" relative to implant placement. For many implantologists, this can be a very confusing technological environment. Dr. Malin, who has been teaching guided surgical placement for over 7 years is offering his treatment planning services for those who wish to create a guided surgical stent. Both for those who have coDiagnostiX software, but need his help with a specific plan, as well as those who have no treatment planning software but wish to be introduced to the coDiagnostiX system. You can download the coDiagnostiX system by clicking here for a PDF that shows the process. Briefly the process is this. 1. Take impressions of both arches and send them to either Aurum Dental Lab or Implant Solutions Dental Lab
2. The lab will create a coDiagnostiX scanning appliance that you need to make sure fits exactly in the patients mouth. The stent cannot rock and must exactly fit. You cannot make any alterations to the stent. 3. The patient then needs to have the stent in their mouth when they have a CT taken. Click here to download a PDF on "How to take a CT". Send this PDF with the patient to the CT source. The CT source will then create a Dicom 3 multi-file formatted disk with the CT scan on it. 4. Completely fill in the request form (Click on NIS Treatment Planning.pdf) below and then hit either the "E-mail form" button (this e-mail button only works if your computer has automated it's e-mail entry) or the "Print and Mail" button on the top of the form.
